What is EAGxNordics?

EAGxNordics is an Effective Altruism conference organised by the Nordic and Baltic EA communities. It features three days of networking, talks, and workshops on how to do good effectively.

EAGx conferences are a great way to connect with people in the EA community, discover new opportunities, and learn more about the community, various projects, and cause areas.

Who is the event for?

EAGxNordics is for people who want to turn good intentions into practical outcomes. In particular:

  • People familiar with or actively exploring the core ideas behind effective altruism.

  • EAGxNordics is a working conference for people who want conversations to become collaborations. In practice, that means:

    • People who know the basics of effective altruism or are happy to do a short primer before the event.

    • Practitioners, researchers, operators, founders, and students who want to turn ideas into projects and help others do the same.

    • Folks based in (or collaborating with) the Nordics/Baltics, including those planning to move here or working closely with actors in the region.

    • Contributors from elsewhere who can meaningfully support participants in the region (expertise, opportunities, mentorship).

    • Domain experts new to EA are welcome if the topics overlap your work and you’re keen to engage constructively.

u’re unsure, err on the side of applying — brief and specific context in your application about how you hope to contribute is enough.

Tickets and travel support

We will have a limited amount of funding available to support attendees with travel grants, which you can request while submitting your application. These are meant for attendees who cannot attend the event without support. Please only apply for a travel grant if you cannot attend without it. You can read more in our Travel Support Policy document.
